Did you know that nearly every U.S. President had a pet? Interest in the White House "First Dog" has been around long before the talk about the Obama family's potential dog adoption. People are so interested that there is a Presidential Pets Museum located in Williamsburg, Virginia.
The museum was founded in 1999 and presents trivia, portraits, artifacts, and items related to the presidential pets. Their website has a fun article that discusses some of the presidents' pets, and the "unlucky" presidents who did not have a pet.
